2026 Softball Offseason

Appeared in 3 games last year as a PH. Went 0-2 and a walk. Corner infielder from La Mirada, CA. She appears to be an unknown quantity, as far as D1 success is concerned, as TTU had Lauren Allred at first and an All-American at third last season.

Hunter Veach has been released by Glasco. The Cajuns should hire him now.

This is the equivalent of signing a top-notch incoming Freshman with the new rules. She should have 4 years to play, and she was good enough to be signed by the two-time National Runner ups. I think this is a nice pickup for the Cajuns.

Well considering she was an incoming true freshman this year, even if she originally committed to Snyder, Glasco kept her offer on the table and signed her. I don't know if she committed to Snyder first, but she signed with Glasco or at least the offer was still in play when Glasco took over as HC.

She could not have signed under Snyder, since she committed for the 2026 season and Glasco was the coach in 2025 season.

Southeastern pitcher, SLC pitcher of the year, is now in the portal.

Hallie Burns should garner some interest from a lot of teams. She initially signed with Ole Miss and redshirted and pitched the last 2 seasons at Southeastern. Would be a nice addition for Cajuns.

Check out the defense when he was hear vs what the Cajuns had since he left. He was an assistant coach who got hired away. He left once he was hired. He didn't just up and quit.

You think he quit? Did you not read the article? He was let go. There is a lot of pressure on Glasco to win a national championship. Unfortunately, Veach and the other assistant coach look like scapegoats.

Think about this. A shortstop made an error that led to some unearned runs in the final of the softball college World Series. As a result, the defensive coach, Beach, got fired and the shortstop who made the error is going to be replaced by an All-American that is transferring. As a result, think how much pressure is on all the other players not to make a mistake.

As a coach for the Cajuns, I think Veach did an excellent job. I'm sure he won't have trouble finding another coaching job.
