She has the same issue as our other USL hire. Little to no fan engagement, much less with the general public.. Less than stellar at the PR game which is essential at our level because our conference, let's face it, does nothing for us as to fan excitement.

This is the time of year where you get fans excited about your program.

Another week passes with the sound of crickets coming from UL softball. This is very disturbing.

The season ended 6 weeks ago. The team is in worse shape now. They haven't even replaced what they lost. As of now 12 players return, 4 freshman, and 1 portal player. 17 players on the roster and up to 25 is allowed. The pitching depth and bench depth is weak right now. Better get some players soon and pray for no injuries. I sure hope Alyson isn't banking on her first recruiting class being the major impact players needed.

The number of quality proven performers still in the portal is very low and shrinking every day.

She didn't have to at Alabama and much of her career there didn't involve NIL, so likely little experience in doing that. I'm sure Alabama never had any funding issues, but UL is a different situation especially now in the NIL era. Can she still succeed and maintain the winning tradition at UL, something she was a part of. Guess we'll see how long a leash she is given.

If you want to know the length of her leash, check out how long our USL womens basketball coach has been allowed to under perform.

Stop with the excuses. It is time to hold Alyson and her staff's ass to the fire. Alyson is in offseason #3. Last year the excuse was: Alyson is short handed two coaches and doesn't have much money to work with. What's the excuse now? They aren't short handed and have more than double the money that they have last offseason. NIL and the portal is fairly new to every school and coach. UL hasn't learned how to adapt and survive. Lower tier schools are kicking UL ass in the portal, with less money, less resources, less traditons, less fan support. I'm sorry nobody on the staff is getting a mulligan from me as of the end of the season. Fans, and supporters need to be shown something and they haven't.

I started reviewing the incoming freshman travel stats this summer. Many aren't playing well at all.

Maybe. BUT the Louisiana softball and Louisiana women’s basketball programs are historically not in the same universe.

Both programs aren't good NOW and that's what matters.

Can you give us a list of the incoming freshman for 2027?
