About 25 years ago I was sitting in the bldg. across quad from Math bldg. On the table were some old yearbooks. Flipped open to Athletics and landed on WBB. The margins of victory over ULWBB were insane. I think it was a 1 win season. So I looked into the two other books on the glass. No difference and they were years in spread. FF to 2026.Comment

They need someone younger than 77.From a more serious (because the front porch of the U depends upon it) point of view, I would rec speaking with Joe Moglia as a potential consultant for this search. For his bio: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Moglia
Download Speechify if you dont have a read out loud extension in your browser and listen to whole detailed background of the Wik article. A Louisiana alum in finance with a Football mind would be one hell of a solid find.Comment

That's right, capitalize on it. Women's Beach Volleyball @ Cajun Field with cold flowing natty and use the Swamp's mega audio system, even its' lighting in the background. Surround the VB zone (court/bleachers) with massive palms, just like CF with Oaks, Tigue with Pine. Massive reduction in costs and an actual revenue generating arena, selling season tickets or keep WBB.Comment

I don't believe this for one second. What I think, it was a mutual agreement, he needed to leave and he found another safety net job. You don't think he really wanted to go be the Deputy Director and Basketball Administrator after being the Director?
" Mizzou has also hired Bryan Maggard as its deputy AD/COO and men’s basketball administrator, as first reported by CollegeAD via X"
Mizzou deputy athletics director/chief operating officer and senior woman administrator Marcy Girton is retiring from her role, with Bryan Maggard set to replace her as deputy AD/COO.

Believe what you want I know what he told me. Also he is next in line to be the AD. It's a win-win for him. He didn't need to leave, he wanted to leave. Whoever they hire will demand at least what he was making.

I just read somewhere he will be making 1.3 million a year and gets to move back to where he spent over 20 years, to where his kids and new grandchild live and to the SEC. So yes, i firmly believe he would leave to be deputy director and basketball adminstrator.
