She made the transformation just like Kayla Falterman, Maddie Hayden, and Haley Hayden. All of those girls, before coming to UL never played the outfield. Hart has the ability to be a Gold Glove-type outfielder. That would probably push Norwood to DP/Utility.
Maddie Hayden, with the exception of High School seasons at West Monroe spent the other 8-9 months each year in Centerfield.

I stand corrected. I was told the same for both Hayden girls. I do know that Maddie only wanted to play the outfield at UL. Glasco had her at 3B and SS for some games. She was good enough to play anywhere but pitcher.

I am surprised that no one [including me] has brought up the glaringly obvious issue that we were 3-17 [2-10 in conference games] in true road games. While home field advantage is a real thing, it clearly does not account for such a glaring difference, especially in conference games.

The coaching staff needs to take a very close look at our routine on the road, and do whatever they can to make that routine as stress free as possible.

Habetz needs to take a hard look in the mirror and make some very difficult coaching decisions. She needs to do a serious self analysis, top to bottom. If she does not, look for similar results next season and risk loss of majority of fan base, myself included.

I'm with you. This offseason needs to win me back.

Pitching must be addressed. We still need a couple more power bats as well, but the biggest issue we have in my opinion is addressing our obvious lack of defensive focus, especially in road games. This is NOT a players issue, it is a coaching issue.

More strikeouts lead to less errors also

And more strikes leads to less walks and hit batsman.

Perhaps. That still doesn't mean that a fielding percentage ranked 10th in the SBC and the fact that we gave up 54 unearned runs is not a serious concern.

True, but neither walks nor hit batsmen become unearned runs unless fielding errors either were previously or subsequently committed.

I would not be distressed if Prejean was let go. She contributes nothing other than being Aly's BFF. But, it will never happen and that's why the Cajuns will remain mediocre because of things like this.

Maybe Savannah White could take her place for less money and use that money to get better players?

CAH needs to decide if she wants to the person to get our program back on track. If she does, then she'll have to make some tough decisions or we'll slide into the same place as Latech WBB went to. Nowhereville!

I'd be OK if she decided to hang it up. She had to be convinced to take the job in the first place so I appreciate the effort she's shown especially with her Mom's situation. But, is her staying the best for our proud program? It would be disrupting to change coaches so soon, but finding the right person for this job is at a crtical juncture. More of the same will diminish fan support and our softball fans are used to winning, not finishin 8th out of 11 teams.

I never liked Prejean. I didn’t want her back after what she did at Northwestern State. The only good thing about her coming back is that she brought Liscano with her.
