Hopefully the new transfer is big on social media and makes an announcement as UL is unable to announce until she signs.

Probably the best way to look at it. I am hoping for the best and wish the young lady a lot of success in a Cajun uniform.

The other day, the Boston College catcher announced that she was committed to UNC, and six days later, de committed and signed with Michigan.

I wonder who is doing their social media graphics?

There seems to be a certain amount of consistency there.

The moment everyone has been waiting for:

              Wyn Won Soon

              Position: RHP/1B

              Height: 5' 9"

              Class: Junior

              Hometown: Yokohama, Japan

Previous School: Tokyo Women's College of Physical Education

The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns softball program has secured a massive addition for the 2027 season with the signing of standout transfer Pitcher/1B Wyn Won Soon. Head coach Alyson Habetz announced the high-profile acquisition, immediately injecting elite international talent into the Cajuns' program. After a dominant two-year stint in the collegiate ranks in Japan, Soon brings a championship pedigree and an explosive pitch arsenal and deadly bat to Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park.

Before making waves at the collegiate level, Soon established herself as the most prolific high school player in Japan. Attending the prestigious Yokohama Hayato High School, she led her team to back-to-back national tournament championships while boasting a microscopic 0.42 ERA and averaging 12.4 strikeouts per seven innings along with hitting at a .476 clip, 16 hr, 74 rbi, and 14 steals. Her absolute mastery from the pitching circle earned her consecutive All-Japan High School Honors and made her the centerpiece of Japan’s U-18 National Training Pool, where her drop-ball and devastating changeup regularly baffled elite international hitters.

Coach Habetz expressed immense excitement about Soon’s arrival, noting that her high-level experience and ice-cold demeanor under pressure are exactly what the Ragin' Cajuns need. Soon addition makes the Cajuns an immediate post season contender in 2027. Soon plans to major in sports management at the University of Louisiana and will wear jersey number 27 for the Cajuns.

NOTE: THIS IS 100% A JOKE. Wanted to give RaginDave and everyone else 60 seconds of excitement this off season.

Not surprising. She was not going to get much playing time.

Even though it is a joke I love the name Wyn Won Soon.

Soon seems like more of a Korean name. Otherwise a solid bit

My daughter is currently playing in Japan. I was going to text her to see if she heard anything about this girl. Good thing I read your post all the way to the end!

This off season has been disappointing. This is Alyson third portal season, she gets no more free passes from me. They are off to a slow start and they had a big head start not making the regionals. They need to be able to close the deal on players and they haven't.

So I’m assuming they didn’t get the one you were speaking about the other day.
