I looked up her stats. The last game she pitched in was 3/20 and the last game she batted was 4/26. I wonder if she was injured or maybe just wasn't getting any playing time towards the end of the season. She was a top notch player coming out of high school.

Deggs knows that to win or have a chance at winning he needs to strengthen this bullpen and add more power. He has done both with this transfer class and signee list. This kid from j-state, Jackson Evers is a good one coming out of the pen.

It should be noted that Deggs has encouraged Cajuns baseball fans to direct contributions to the Cajuns Edge program for baseball. Unless I missed it, none of my softball newsletters have mentioned this program.

Cajuns Edge is a direct revenue sharing program for student athletes, set up and partially funded by the University, and partially funded by fan donations [for which donors get RCAF points and benefits]. There is an Edge program for each sport individually.

Coach Ali is not active on X or any social media to engage the fans. In today's day and age, I feel the coach needs to engage with the fans a little to get hype around the program. Des, Deggs, Coach Q, and Maggard all engage a little on X with us crazy fans! Gets me hyped every time they post.

Coach Habetz's last post on X was on 2/9/26 about the new light show at Lamson Park. Before that it was on 5/8/25 when the new pope was announced and on the same day we had a walk off win in the SBC tournament, but that was in 2025.

None of the UL Softball coaches are active on social media. They should be.

Exactly right. We needed some quality arms to come in from the bullpen and hold leads or keep games close and not let the score get out of hand.
