We saving money everyday. I would not be surprised if we have an interim AD for the entire FALL. They look at it as saving money.

I'd say he brings some intensity to the U, the whole U. And, he didn't have Able, Dark, Mitchell, Delhomme, Stokley, Tillman, Fenroy, Dez and more. Napier's Top 25 rosters were stacked with NFL talent. Going back to Hud, Football was kicking so much ass that Baseball decided to join in and assume the position of the #1 Program in America in '14.

Not a 9-win season but in 1901,02 and maybe 03 the field was on the other side of The Swamp where Hebrard Blvd is now. Then it went to the Quad for a while.

Florida State and Michael Alford part ways. Michael was one of the 3 finalist for the AD job that went to Maggard (other was Eddie Nunez who at the time was at LSU but now the AD at Houston). Alford's dad was UL golf coach, Louie Alford, and I believe he may have graduated HS from Acadiana. Not really high on someone who was recently fired, but there isn't many if any potential AD candidates that have the experience that he has plus ties to UL and Acadiana like he does.

Scott Woodward, former LSU AD, would also be a great candidate. I personally don't want anyone tied to LSU or their dumpster fire, but in any normal functioning athletics department, he'd still be the AD. So maybe his hatred for LSU is just what we need right now.

I played baseball with Mike at Acadiana. He signed and played for Mississippi State out of HS. He's a good guy and was one heck of a baseball player. Was also a wide receiver on the football team. Very fast.

1- Us taking in LSU castoffs in athletics has rarely worked out.

2- He was the architect behind that idiotic contract given to Brian Kelly. He deserved to be shown the door with Kelly.
