He did a lot of good but held on to Marlin too long.

Well, besides bringing UL Basketball down to its knees, absolutely destroying tailgating at UL Football games, creating a depressing atmosphere for football games, mismanaging money in the athletic dept., picking completely inexperienced head coaches for football and softball resulting in losing programs, diminishing the fan base, overseeing vendors that can't supply decent UL fan apparel and even H2O at games, he did great.

Unfortunately, I think a lot of you are about to see how good Maggard was.

He did eventually hire QW so there is a chance his exit stock rises.

That's for damn sure. Mizzou coming off one of its greatest FB seasons ever just f'd up...... Negative.

Maggard was a stellar hire. I wanna see what space cadet we replace him with.

              Whole f'n Program coming apart.

Let's recall Dr. Maggard was big upgrade over Scott Farmer. No AD bats 1000 on coaching hires. Napier, Deggs, Badon, & Glasco were positive. Promoting Desormeaux and hanging onto Marlin so long were total head scratchers. Giving them both expensive extensions were outright harmful. Too soon to say how Coaches White & Habetz will turn out as both face pivotal years next season. Maggard getting the football stadium done was massive. Regardless of the tight budgets next AD must publicy layout vision for the athletic department. There remains opportunities to improve.

Vendors for apparel and concession are Martin Hall decisions, not the athletic department.

Athletics are part of his responsibility AND the budget

Well, staff and budgets have been slashed, so yeah.....thats kinda obvious. I mean, Maggard left because of that. Why would the next guy just come in and crush it?

No need for CDS with Maggard moving on. Looking forward to a fresh approach and fixes to stuff that Maggard broke. Let's start with the game day experience/tailgating,

He was very much a part of Martin Hall.
