Not trying to defend the travel ball coach....but but but On the one hand it is an easy narrative that the red raiders are just buying the title, ala dodgers, lakers, etc....however, at end of they day they are a double digit seed...and it is not often, if ever 2 years in a row a double digit seed made final

I think the original poster was referring to coach Robe. As for coach Lotief you are correct. If he was so good he would still be coaching. But he wound up frying chicken at the corner of Moss and Willow for a while.

Being this was a softball thread, I had not thought of Robe. Though I really respect Robe and his influence on young men [and on everyone whose life he touched], I hardly consider him to be the best coach we have ever had. Best man who coached for us, maybe, but not best coach.
