I’m sorry, but bowl games are meaningless when JMU literally made the CFP last season out of the SBC. 6 wins is below the floor of this program.

8 wins are the floor, anything less is a substandard season. We have the brand recognition, the facilities, recruiting region and resources to get there.

      Season Goals:
      1. SBC West Champs
      2. SBC Title Game Champs
      3. G6 CFP slot

If that’s not the objective then we are just existing as a program. 6 wins and a bowl game are participation trophies. If our HC thinks that’s a goal he ain’t the right guy.

Public information says our athletic budget is about 46 million (more than I expected) and NIL spend approx 1.5 million. Please correct me if someone has more accurate information.

I believe almost half of that is student fees. That is pretty much the only way to bring that kind of separation from most G6 programs. The top programs avg 25,000 (JMU) attendance and some much higher like ECU, Boise State, USF, Memphis. The best way to have a bigger budget is to increase attendance and NIL by winning big and upsetting some G5 schools to get people fired up about donating.

I think our floor should be AT LEAST 8 wins, and two of those wins have to be Tech and USM.
