We need to talk about how good this Cajun women's soccer team is. They are 7-2-1, there only loses are two 1 goal losses to Ole Miss and Miss State, both games we were in until the end. The tie was a bad game vs ETAMU, who realistically we should have beaten. The win vs Texas State was huge as they were #15 in the nation at the time and then back it up with a nice win over a very good Coastal Carolina team. I don't want to jinx us, but this is by far the best Cajun soccer team that I can remember. We have a big game coming up vs ODU who does not have a great record but has played a brutal schedule. They are 3-5, but lost to Va Tech, UNC-W, #11 Wake Forest, #2 Duke and Liberty all by 1 goal, they have 3 shutout wins vs Longwood, Maryland and ULM. 1 more win and we will tie for the 5th best record ever by a UL team with 8 wins, the best ever were two seasons with 10 wins. 2020 was 10-9-1 and 2010 was 10-11. We have 2 seasons with 9 wins, and we have 6 others season with 8 wins.

I get the pleasure of working some of the games and getting to meet the players. As a person they are amazing! As players they are equally amazing. You will see no flopping and no standing around, just hard PHYSICAL (my god they are physical) playing. Hell one player had major ACL surgery and was there the next DAY (Texas St.) to root her team on. I know very little about soccer but this is one of my favorite sports to watch now. I wish more people would experience at least one game (hell its free) and stay after to meet the girls, especially if you have young kids the players are exceptional at interacting with them. The coaching staff is first class all the way and they are building a hell of a program for us to be proud of!!!!!👍 1 -
