Lunch is the difference maker. He’s the best player on the field most games.

Got to protect the football. Those turnovers are the only reason UAB was in the game.

Take the win and enjoy the week. We’ll be favored again next week on the road.
Very poor play calling by Des like last year. And where was Sampson? I was told he would be back this week.

It was great to hear the band and cheerleaders organically start the RAGIN’ chat to the home side while the home side yelled CAJUNS! It seemed to wake the home side up and the got into the football game. We need more of that.

Hopefully we get Sampson and/or Jensen back next week. Got to open that vertical passing game. Lunch power may be somewhat effective but it’s not an offense. The kid is able to do it all, but shouldn’t have to. He’ll never make it through the season.

Cajuns open -14.5 on the road at Charlotte.

Terrible crowd. Acadiana just doesn't support UL.

Could be worse. According to the box score ULM lost to SLU in front of 0 people.

Namethe promotions leading up to gameday. We will never have the fanbase that drugs their kids to leave them home. If that is caring it's caring about the wrong priorities . UL don't get free coverage. Still no tweets no commercials no billboards.Only diehards know about games. It has less to do with caring it has more to do with knowing.

I'm sure you can find that most of Acadiana was watching that other game. You have to have a reason to go to a UL game. Entertainment and a great product is the key.

I guess I look at a game like this as we won a game we were supposed to win. Not running away with it, no style points. We would have not outlasted a better opponent. But a W is thing of beauty especially over an AAC opponent. Maybe next week Cajuns will beat the snot out of Charlotte, go 2-0 over AAC this season. Continue scheduling AAC or actually now its just AC (until they change their name again).

I know a lot of people who usually go to the UL games, but stayed home last night to watch the Rebels get revenge on the 40 million dollar team to the east.

The promotions for that matchup have been brewing all offseason, all month and last week, it was off the chart.

To me it screams to the value of advertising.

Our defense has only given up ONE touchdown at home so far this season and it was due to an extremely short field from the punt return.

Other touchdowns include the pick 6 against Lamar and scoop and score that should have been blown dead.

It was never reported that Sampson would play last night. It was always he may be back for Charlotte. There is optimism he will be but there is no guarantee. As of now, they are targeting getting Jensen back for first conference game against Ark State on October 3rd. I am not sure what status is for Chaney. Regardless, pass pro needs to improve. That was the reason for the play calling in second half last night. Little confidence they could protect long enough to throw downfield. That was not issue in first 2 games so hopefully last night was anomaly.

I call BS on reasoning for second half. If we cannot protect against a poor UAB team we are in deep trouble. Same crappy play calling we witnessed from Dez. He is not a D1 caliber play caller. He needs to give it up yesterday. Lunch will not finish the season based on what we saw last nite.
