Our Cajuns played tough and did not quit. Can't ask for much more in that situation.

It was great seeing UL in that kind of big-time environment, LA Coliseum, #14 team and 11 time NC, and national TV. We looked like we belonged and gave a hearty performance. A special teams breakdown and a missed interception and we have a 5 point game. It will be nice getting back home but playing before 15,000 - 20,000 fans ain't the same. When will we get real fan support?

As far as fans go at OLOL, I've been saying for years. It will take lots of wins, not just 1 or 2 seasons (especially during a viral pandemic). It will take beating good teams, over and over again (not just bad G6 teams). It will take improving the schedule. It will take years of winning and showing Lafayette that the University is serious about football, winning football. imo.

If the Sunbelt goes to a nine game rotation for conference play, it will limit those breakout opportunities by another 25%

That return hurt. Lincoln Riley was literally jumping up and down with the cheerleaders. Stadium went crazy. That potential pic in the EZ hurt even more. I don't see these breakdowns happening again. When they watched the game film I bet some of them wanted to pull the chair they were sitting in out of the concrete and beat it into dust. I see a very hungry team showing up Saturday night. Not hungry, but ready to pop off. All phases. Back in '02, I wanna say we went in to Game IV without a W and UAB came to town. Bustle got his first victory in a shut-out.

We had winning football and a national ranking with Napier and still no one came. With HUD, we didn't always win but people came. It is the overall experience people are looking for. Winning certainly adds to that. UL needs to learn how to package both. One would think UL would have learned that by now.

Maybe so. But not knowing how to put together a complete game day package for our fans is unacceptable. We've played top programs and have been able to observe what makes those programs successful. And, its not just winning. We learn nothing. It's always business as usual and we wonder why we are where we are.

We need our head football coach, AD, & RCAF to values the fans and can speak to them. Ask the fans to support you and they will! We are a strong community of people. We take care of each other. It’s a collective responsibility to WIN.

Coach Hud’s great asset is that he knew everyone was important to win. We need our head coach focused on winning football games, growing attendance, increasing NIL, and improving facilities. He must be able to multitask to be successful.
