We have to be getting close to securing all of the funding for it.

Someone close to one of the recent donors told me last night that funding is complete.

Nice to have all this funding for baseball. Once the clubhouse is done we need to continue this, and as well start up again a major campaign for donations for football to finish the stadium and/or for NIL. Hopefully after our football team wins the SBC this year.

The RCAF needs a live donation tracker for facility projects. If we invest in Louisiana athletics, RCAF members should be aware of the funds collected and progress needed. This could make the fundraising efforts more effective.

The psychology behind it is pretty straightforward:
          • People want to see impact. If a donor can see that a facility project is, say, 68% funded, their contribution feels like it is helping accomplish something tangible.
          • It creates momentum. A tracker can create a sense of “we’re getting close” and encourage donors to help push a project to 100%.
          • It builds trust. Showing the fundraising goal, amount raised, remaining amount, project timeline, and eventually completed work gives donors confidence that their money is being used for the stated purpose.
          • It makes smaller donations feel meaningful. Someone giving $50 or $100 can see that they are part of a larger effort.
          • It gives alumni and fans a reason to return. A live or regularly updated tracker creates an ongoing connection rather than asking for a donation once and disappearing.
          • It can encourage larger gifts. Major donors may be more willing to participate when they can see that the broader alumni/fan base is already supporting the project.
I would actually take it a step further

          Instead of simply having:

Facility Improvements — $2 million goal

For example, I’d recommend a dashboard for each major project:

          BASEBALL FACILITY RENOVATION
          Goal: $1,000,000
          Raised: $735,000
          74% funded
          $265,000 remaining

          Then underneath:
          • Construction/design status
          • Expected completion: Spring 2027
          • Number of donors: 842
          • Gifts this month: $47,500
          • Construction photos
          • Donate to this project
          • See how your gift makes a difference
And once the project reaches 100%, the tracker changes to FUNDED and becomes a permanent record of what donors accomplished.

Man a live funding tracker would be awesome to view everyday online. It will actually motivate more donations including small donations daily.

This makes too much sense, so it will not happen.

It Will never happen. It goes against the CIA mode of operation at the University. If you are not part of the crowd that knows the password and super secret handshake you are not worthy.
