I was at the game, but had recorded the game. I just rewatched the game. Beale actually played well in the 4th quarter. Last year, he had that deer in the headlights in all of his starts. I know that one quarter does not make a season, but he looked so much more comfortable out there leading the team. Pics happen. Lunch had 2? But his passing was accurate and handling of the offense was under control. However, let's all hope we only get to see him in mop up duty this year and for no other reason.

Yeah, he was definitely more confident than what we've seen of him in the past and even Jay was talking about that during the game as well.

Unfortunately, the number one thing on the minds of many after UL's season-opening 38-7 win over Lamar was the injury report.

Coach Michael Desormeaux said a complete injury update wasn't going to be available until Wednesday "once we know more."

What he did report Monday was linebacker Hayden Darbonne and defensive lineman Jeramiah Holts suffered season-ending injuries on Saturday.
