    UL Athletics

For 46 years I watched UL dominate in all sports and then suck in all sports except softball until now. World series apperance for mens baseball, also almost breaking the wins record in a season, multiple womens world series in softball, 11 national championships in water skiing, 13-1, 10-1, 11-3 and 10-4 in football over the last 7 years. MBB being so dominant in the 80's. We used to be feared in every sport and now other than Water Skiing we are average in every sport or below average. Now Tulane, ULM and LTU have passed us up, WTF. We are the 4th best instate if that. This needs to be addressed today and get fixed. Find a way like SMU did to get into a P4 conference. Make whatever deal we can because if not UL is done for good if not already!

SMU has wealthy alumni willing to fork over lots of cash to watch their team win. We don't have that same enthusiasm amongst most of our similar alum.

Very accurate and truthful we need money, much more money to compete and keep our players here. Plus be able to go out and get other players. But the sad thing is that the Transfer Portal and NIL has changed college athletics and not necessarily for the best. There needs to be some type of guidelines and policies set so that everyone, colleges, are on the same playing field.

If I ever win the lottery, y’all already know where that money is going to. If I had the money, I could

That’s the sad part our wealthy send it to LSU which is ridiculous. If they dumped their money into UL no telling where we would be.

I've had the same thought. No way I give UL athletics that kind of money without RCAF independence. If you are so blessed, be specific and steadfast.

We need new athletic and RCAF leadership to succeed. This decline falls on them.

We do too, unfortunately they forklift over their money to TSAB. Which is also aggravating in itself.
