Are you talking about portal kids that have signed with other programs or high school kids who have signed with other programs? I've been told by a reliable source that Alyson will not sign anyone she hasn't personally reviewed.

I’m ok with that. However , if a player is brought to her attention, she needs to review said player as you said. I hope she is doing that. But it sounds like she may not be.

I never said she needs to review a player, I said she wants to review a player before signing them from what I have been told. I disagree with that. She doesn't specialize in hitting or pitching, so if Shipman is sent off to the west coast by himself and he sees a hitter he likes and feels like she can contribute to the Cajuns and then tells Alyson about that player, Alyson shouldn't have to go watch the player. That's wasting recruiting dollars and not trusting your coaches, who are actually doing the coaching.

They have two players that I know of who could help this team right now. They have sent DM on X to all four coaches along with numerous emails, and phone calls and still just crickets from the staff. These are kids that are good players, grinders, great work ethic, and really not looking for NIL. If the staff isn't interested just email them back and say you don't have a spot but straight up ignoring someone who wants to be part of your program is crazy.

You are correct, not great stats but still pretty good stats for 75 AB's. If she is a good catcher defensively then taking a chance on her would definitely need to be considered and as you stated it is a position of need.
