I don’t know if money is the issue for this pitcher, but if it is, then maybe Ragin Pagin can help secure the deal.
I am not sure what the market is this year; but pitchers with stats similar to hers were getting $200k and up last offseason. Sam Landry reportedly got $400k from Oklahoma, and in an interview Maya Johnson told reporters that she turned down $380k, choosing to stay at Belmont.

That would be the pitchers that we had. Ground ball pitchers produce ground balls.

Neither. Hunters wife Hunter quit after year one at TT and Hunter just got released.

The team is at full staff. Someone would have to be released for an opening to happen. Veach will have no issues getting a job as a assistant or maybe a head coach.

Liscano and Vasquez were in proper position to make those plays as set up by defensive coach Veach and his outstanding scouting report.

The word around the camp fire is one more pitcher and one more hitter will be brought in from the portal.

Pitcher is scheduled to visit from not far away, hopefully we still have NIL, and have their eye on a catcher.

If this is true, we will be fine, at least as far as personnel goes. We still have to find a way to play much better on the road. In 2025 we ranked 227th [of 308] in road winning %; in 2026 we ranked 296th [of 309]. Among SBC Schools, we were 10th in 2025, 11th in 2026. our road winning % was .238 [5-16] in 2025 and .150 [3-17] in 2026.

By way of comparison, in 2024 our road winning % was .640 [16-9], which ranked 37th nationally and 3rd in the SBC.

In conference road games we were 5-7 in 2025, 2-10 in 2026 and 11-1 in 2024.

In my opinion, this is by far our biggest issue.

Burns would be a great pickup.

                              Interesting numbers VO

Homefield advantage is real, but it's mostly emotions.

Road woes are affected through top-down mindset

If we get Burns it would be awesome, I hope this happens. Hoover had some really good moments in 2026 so a staff of Burns, Hoover and Favors would probably be you main three. But Mackles and the incoming freshman will help as well.

Liscano, Hart, Otto, Marceaux, Williams, Norwood and hopefully a back on track Emily Smith as your returning base.

I kind of like the look of this team. Liscano, Hart, Otto, Marceaux, Norwood and Williams all hit over .300 and we know what Smith is capable of and that base would be returning 34 of your 45 HR's from this season.
