Biggest game of the year in an hour. Cannot lose in our own tournament at home to ULM

I am with Rick. I like Delbrey for today. If she pitches like her last outing and we hit the ball like we did against Troy, we will beat ULM.

    Geaux with the hot hand.

I remember when UL went through Regionals with one pitcher.

Four games was good. Five games in three days was asking to much.

I say you pitch Sage until they get to her. Pitch her vs. ULM. ULM is the 1 seed and swept us, so pitch Sage while she is feeling it! lets geaux!

It's just one game, but it was a pretty impressive performance for the UL Ragin' Cajuns with a 5-0 win over Troy on Wednesday in the opening round of the Sun Belt Tournament at Lamson Park.

It started in the circle, Sage Hoover may have pitched her best game of the season.

At the plate, the Cajuns executed for three runs in the first inning and never looked back.

"Really proud of our team," UL coach Alyson Habetz said. "We came out with a sense of urgency, which we've struggled to do in the past. In front of our fans, I think it just ...
It's exhilarating,"

With the win, UL improved to 29-26 overall and will now play No. 1-seeded ULM at 4 p.m. Thursday on day two of the single-elimination bracket.

Behind a dominant complete-game effort from Sage Hoover and an early offensive surge, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball team opened the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Softball Championship tournament with a 5-0 victory over Troy on Wednesday, May 6 at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park.

Louisiana (29-26) struck for three runs in the opening inning and never looked back as Hoover controlled the game in the circle from start to finish. The junior right-hander retired 15 consecutive batters from the second through sixth innings and allowed only two hits while striking out nine in her first complete game shutout as a Ragin' Cajun.

The win advances Louisiana to Thursday's 4:00 p.m. quarterfinal contest against No. 1 seed ULM (37-19). Tickets, starting at $15 for general admission outfield seating, can be purchased in advance online at RaginCajuns.com/tickets or by calling the Louisiana Athletics Ticket Office at (337) 482-GoUL (4685).

I sure like what I saw from Lexie at SoAL.

Best game from Sage as a Cajun!

Huge game for Sage Hoover! Gave up only 2 hits, struck out 9 and didn't walk anyone! Best game as a Cajun by far!
