Cajuns football, baseball squads build on returning talent for upcoming seasons

The University of Louisiana football and baseball programs are heading into their upcoming seasons with renewed optimism, bolstered by the return of key players on both rosters.

On the football side, keeping guys like quarterback Lunch Winfield and wide receiver Shelton Sampson for another year is huge in improving the offensive side of the football. Three starting offensive linemen are also back after missing time, and younger players who stepped into starting roles last season return with added experience.

I watched the replay of the Ark State football game from last year. We had about 10 players suspended (mostly starters) from the fight with Texas State the week before. But we still won the game on the road. So that says a little something about our young guys coming up. We may be ok, but still a lot of ????
