    Trey Frazier Interim Athletic Director

Trey Frazier, a veteran of the fundraising industry with multiple stops at the Power Five and Group of Five level, enters his first year as Deputy Director of Athletics and Executive Director of the Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Foundation.

Frazier comes to Louisiana with strong experience in annual giving and major gifts after serving at Missouri, UAB, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, Ohio, Florida and Conference USA.

While at Missouri, he developed a strategic plan to optimize support for Mizzou Athletics that included operational improvements, increased donor participation and annual giving.

During his five-year stint at UAB, Frazier served as the Senior Director of Development where he helped complete capital projects for the football operations center ($22.5M), basketball practice facility ($7.5M), soccer stadium ($1.5M) and track and field facility ($2M). Additionally, he helped raise a school-record $9.5 million in his first season. In 2021, Frazier and his team raised a school-record $2.7 million for the annual fund.

He served as the athletics department lead for new football stadium sales where the Blazers sold out 34 suites and over 1,500 club seats. Frazier was a member of the leadership committee that planned the transition to the American Athletic Conference, and was a member of the leadership team that executed “The Return” of the football, bowling and rifle programs in 2017-18.

Frazier spent four years at Virginia Tech with multiple roles inside the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund. In 2017 as the Director of Development, he was the co-leader of the team that implemented the Hokie Scholarship Fund program, a brand-new annual giving program consisting of a new per seat donation model for football and men’s basketball, a new priority points system, a new benefits deadline and new benefits chart. The program was instantly successful as annual giving increased by 73-percent from $9.8M to $17M, an all-time record.

He spent one year at Wisconsin as a development coordinator after serving as a graduate assistant for the Ohio Bobcat Club from 2013-14. He began his career as an operations assistant at Conference USA from 2011-12 before being named a procurement and risk management assistant for the University Athletic Association at Florida.

A baseball student-athlete at Dallas Baptist University, Frazier earned his Bachelor of Science in finance at DBU before earning his Master’s in sports administration as well as his MBA from Ohio.

I’ve been told by RCAF staff that Trey is very introverted and is looking to move on. I’ve been a part of RCAF since the beginning, but never met him. He’s a great interim option until we hire a capable candidate with new ideas and a charismatic personality.

We will get a chance to see for ourselves how serious Dr. Kolluru is about UL Athletics.

I am incredibly humbled and grateful for the opportunity Dr. Kolluru has given me to serve as your Interim Athletics Director. Dr. Maggard did extraordinary work over the past decade, and we owe him a deep debt of appreciation for his leadership, tireless passion, and relentless pursuit of excellence across all areas of Louisiana Athletics. Simply put, we are better because of Dr. Bryan Maggard.

When my family and I moved to Acadiana four years ago, we immediately knew this place was special. The Ragin' Cajuns family blew us away with their genuine, warm embrace, and it did not take long for us to decide this was where we wanted to call home. It isn't just the jambalaya or the crawfish boils. It isn't just the Mardi Gras balls or the festivals. It is the people that make Louisiana special.

As the interim leader of Louisiana Athletics, I will work tirelessly to serve and support Cajun Nation. Our goal remains clear: to win championships, deliver an unforgettable student-athlete experience, and proudly represent the Ragin' Cajuns on a national stage. In close partnership with Dr. Kolluru and University leadership, we will pursue these goals with integrity, relentless resolve, and innovative strategies that enhance our fans' experience while driving our departmental revenues forward.

To accomplish this, I have one simple request: come alongside and join us as we move forward.

            • Fall sports start in just a few short weeks, join us at a game and be loud!
            • If you are not a member of the RCAF, consider making a gift today.
            • If you are already involved, ask a friend, family member, or colleague to do the same.

We are stronger together, and together we will keep letting the good times roll!

Let's get to work. Geaux Cajuns!

Okay… let’s keep in mind… he has virtually no money. If you think he has $1million for a big splash hire, you haven’t been following the last 6 months.

I didn't say anything about making a splash or anything about totally screwing it up, all I said is we will get to make a determination of what our latest President thinks by his action.
