If he were to develop a 3rd pitch, something off speed such as a change up, maybe an occasional 4th pitch such as a curve; he would significantly improve his stock value. Easily 4th round, possibly 3rd.
He was a 2 pitch pitcher last season, fastball and slider. He has a plus fastball and a plus plus slider.
Both are hard stuff. Slider is nasty!
Against Cincinnati his slider wasn’t working and he knew it in warm up. He threw primarily fastballs and got through the line up once, but almost no one can live off 1 pitch through the line up more than once on one pitch. They tattooed him second time through.Comment

We should be in for a good season with the folks returning. However, do we have someone who can come in and throw hard like Brasch? Guys like Chase Morgan who can control the plate (hopefully he returns to his former self) are great, but you've gotta have at least one guy who can come in and throw gas when needed. Brasch did that. As did Langevin. We need a guy like that for this season.Comment

A couple of the incoming transfers are close to mid 90 guys. The hope is that they can develop into that kind of pitcher. I trust Coach Sandy will develop a couple of them as he did this year and in his past at Marshall, the good news is 3 pitchers from Marshall who succeeded more when he was there than when he was gone will be here. I really like the starting three of Morgan, Roman and Pruitt. Also Griffin Miller was Marshall'sla best starter in 2025 and had to sit out all of 2026, he should be back and available as a very good starter for us in 2027.
