    Bye-Bye Texas State

The Pac-12 was rebuilt ahead of the 2026-27 academic calendar. Boise State, Texas State and Gonzaga are among those joining Oregon State and Washington State.

Shouldn't they mandate Gonzaga to change its name to Gonzaga State?

San Marcos was always a good visit for any sport.

I do regret I never made a trip there. No, I don't want to play them as an OOC opponent. That wanted out, they are gone.

San Marcos is a great town with lots of things to do. I would not be opposed to playing them as an out of conference opponent, just not in football. I want them to go down in history as being a whopping 0-forever vs UL.

So long. Didn't win anything significant in the Sun Belt.

Agree, San Marcos is a nice place and I enjoyed my visits there. I don't know if they ever want to play us again in football as we own them.

Texas State is now in the PAC 12/10/whatever, which, like it or not, is a perceived better football conference than the Sun Belt. Even if the perception is evened out, would we rather keep our non-P4/non-SBC slate of opponents the likes of Eastern Michigan, Tulsa and Kennesaw State, or have something worked out with Texas State (if they're willing) that is a home and home situation? I'd much rather have that senecio with TX State and their new conference.

Do you think a team that HAD to play us and went 0-13 would willingly want to palay us? They don't want any part of us anymore, IMO.
