Tanner Hornback transfering to Louisiana

Tanner Hornback plans to finish his college baseball career in his hometown.

The former St. Thomas More star committed to play his senior season at UL after a coaching change at the University of Texas at Tyler.

"I loved that place and everything about it," he said of UT-Tyler. "The coaches were awesome. It was a hard decision, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity at UL."

I have never heard of UT-Tyler, were they formerly Tyler JC? I do remember The Tyler JC Rangerettes!

Article says UT-Tyler made the Division 2 World Series the last 2 years. Therefore, I think we have picked up a very good player as Hornback was one of their best guys. Also note, he is currently doing quite well with the Cane Cutters now. Could be a strong acquisition for the Cajuns

UT Tyler and Tyler JUCO are two different schools.

UT Tyler has been around since 1971 moved to D2 in 2021.
