That is a tough gig. Hopefully, he can get those guys back to winning ways. I believe the better athletes all go to Westgate, and NISH is in a competitive district.

I met Zi'Yon's family at a football game a few years ago, really good people and they spoke so highly of Zi'Yon as a person. I am happy for him, hope he has huge success as a football coach, I will be rooting for him.

Hope he can turn the ship around at da berry. A once proud program is now the "homecoming special" served up multiple times a year.

NISH would need a MAJOR change to be successful, not just hiring another coach. The city looks down on NISH (especially football) and puts all their energy into Westgate.

NISH also has a weak administration.

Wouldn't go that far, all the energy? Peter High recruits the heck out of da berry, and they have the money.

You highly underestimate the old money.

There's not much "old money" left in New Iberia. Let me rephrase. In regards to the public schools, the city puts all their energy into Westgate. That includes certain people at the school board office.

Some RP members on this board are coaches in the area. They were asked to join Hill's staff, and they respectfully declined. That place needs a ton of work from the top to the bottom, sports- and academically. And yes, CJR 3888 is correct that all the attention goes to Westgage, where the better players go.

Let's put some sting back in the Yellow Jackets!
