    NIL Opportunity

I’ve seen estimated local economic impact for the cities hosting NCAA baseball regionals ranging from $7 million to $11 million.

There may be an opportunity here to contact local hospitality businesses in the area regarding NIL deals with Cajun baseball players. Money to get them all to stay, which could be a nice investment in future earnings if they were to host regionals here over the next couple of years.

    Just a thought.

The city and Acadiana all benifit.

The city pays the Cajundome half a mil (or more) every year, only to have the Cajundome refuse the millions brownbag conventions bring the city and Greater Acadiana.

Hosting Regionals would be worth the NIL investment

Or have ncaa go back to bids not necessarily being tied to being a 1 seed. Make a good enough bid then you host, even if not top 16

I’m talking more along the lines of player retention and a revenue stream to help do so.

This group of players would seem to have solid shot to get a Regional in Lafayette over the next couple of years, which would have an Impact the local economy in the range of $10 million.

So the types of businesses that would benefit the most from the impact would be excellent targets to approach about NIL deals for the players. They’d be making an investment in a potential return, rather than simply a donation.

The bowls had those swag bags that kept getting bigger and bigger but somehow never cost more than 480.... might as well make a neutral site bid for regional with a cash offer to each player on each team
