May as well let some outfielder pitch the rest of this one.

Brasch threw a very low percentage of sliders compared to normal. It was almost all fastballs and it was effective early but you can’t do that a 2nd time through the line up and definitely not a 3rd time.
It was obvious from the 1st inning that he didn’t have his best pitch tonight (slider) and he tried living on 80% fastballs. His fastball is very good, but not having his slider tonight was the difference.

Just a bad night for Cajuns baseball, maybe will do better next game.

Any chance Brasch’s outing last night improves the likelihood he stays another year? Just trying to find a silver lining.

When he was getting outs with his fastball early in game, I noticed there was not much movement with it. I figured that would hurt him later in game. No matter how hard you throw it, you need a little wiggle to ge effective throughout the game.

The best center fielder in all of college baseball is 0-2 with 2 k and an error vs. Moo state tonight.
