Coming into this tournament 7th seed and put what, 10 runs a game average after the lows we saw during the season. And now on absolute fire, we take the SBC Championship for '26 on Sunday - we're not walking into our spot in the 64 on Monday, we're rollin' into a Regional as maybe the hottest team in America.

Amazing effort. Amazing grit. I didn't see this coming after that gut-wrenching defeat in the bottom of the 9th Thursday.

And Cajuns have played 2 extra games (6 in 5 days) compared to TSU who only played 4 and had Friday off.

UL's incredible journey through the Sun Belt Baseball Tournament continued with another impressive chapter late Saturday with a 7-4 win over No. 6-seeded Texas State at Riddle-Pace Field in Troy, Alabama.

"I'm just so proud to get to coach these guys," UL coach Matt Deggs said. "You're never out of the fight, that's our big thing - just outlast them. It's not about talent, it's about passion, want-to and desire. We came out tonight and didn't want to do it for ourselves. We wanted to do it for the guy next to us."
