Oh my goodness what a disaster. Tying run at 3rd now with one out. 12-11 Cajuns one out. Left Papenbrock in too long.Comment

Pappenbrock has been ___ all ____in year. Why do you leave him out there like that.
This is the game you need for an at large. ____ing stupidComment

Papenbrock had allowed 1 earned run in his last 7 appearances (15 innings) before throwing 2.2 scoreless innings today, sandwiched around a 53 minute rain delay, before it fell apart in the 9th.
The dude was a warrior today, and he just ran out of gas
I would have taken him out after the first run scored, but he was getting ground balls, they were just finding holes, so I see why they wanted to stick with him.
It almost led to disaster, but saying he’s been ___ all year is complete nonsense. The kid has been great down the stretch and a big part of the late season surge.👍 4Comment

Yeah Pap has been maybe the most reliable pen arm over this great stretch. I was disappointed he wasnt first guy out of the pen today but then we settled in and got back up. This was just a little too long on the pull because he had already thrown a good bit plus the rain delay👍 2Comment

What a game! Cajuns hold on to capture the HUGE win. I am exhausted just watching the game with all the jumping up and down and pacing. Might have been a little bit of hollering too.👍 1Comment

Tomorrow evening's game is for a bid. The only way I feel safe now is if the SBC is a 5 bid conference. (SM and Coastal locks). Troy, Texas State, and UL competing for 1-3 more bids. And then there could be a stolen bid by South Al or App. Both Troy and TSU (sweep) have head to head advantage over us with higher conference finish for Troy. Would be nice if South Alabama takes care of Troy tonight... and we NEED to take care of Texas State tomorrow. Win tomorrow means Cajuns get Friday off - make it to Saturday and I think we're in. Anything else over the weekend is lagniappe... No guarantee of an at-large yet for the Cajuns, IMHO.Comment
