    P4 vs G6

Did a lot of digging and found these numbers:

The American Conference wins 54% of their games vs all other conferences since their inception.
The ACC wins 53% of their games vs all other conferences since their inception.

This tells me 2 things, 1 either the ACC should switch places with the American as a P4 conference or the American should be added and become P5.

The rest of the conferences fall like this since their inception:

    SEC wins 72% vs all
    BIG12 wins 61% vs all
    BIG10 wins 60% vs all
American - wins 54% vs all
    ACC wins 53% vs all
    PAC12 wins 43% vs all
    MW wins 36% vs all
    CUSA wins 29% vs all
    Sunbelt wins 26% vs all
    MAC wins 24% vs all

We better try like hell with JMU and Marshall to join the American now and quit playing games.

You make an incredible case for abandoning status quo.

Not arguing your basic argument, but you can’t leave out strength of schedule even though one could argue that a portion of that metric is overinflated by the power schools playing against each other inside of the conference.

However, a raw win percentage means nothing if you aren't factoring in who they played. If the American is getting to 54% by beating MAC, C-USA, and FCS teams, while the ACC gets to 53% playing the SEC and Big Ten, those numbers aren't equivalent. Using a 1% difference in raw winning percentage to decide how to place the AAC vs the ACC is flawed without additional context.

You can't weigh a win against Akron the same as a game against Alabama and claim the conferences are on the same level.

That said, you’re right on the money with the part about not playing games! We have to get serious or we’re going to get left in the dust.

Does 'Indi' include Norte Dame and FCS?

I can't imagine the SEC out of conference having 1,298 true independent opponents.

Its ND plus every FBS team that was Indy since its inception. So UCONN, etc.
