SunBelt may get close to AAC by that time but will still be light years behind the P4 money until Mickey Mouse goes broke.
I wish but dont believe it, look at the post I just added for P4 vs G6, Sunbelt is the second to worst conference in all of football since its inception.

We can all agree that adding La Tech was the worst decision in the history of the Sun Belt. They don’t add any value to a future media deal & the east wants to leave because of that decision.

Schools like JMU are jockeying for a better conference now and lower exit fee to be in a better realignment position in 2031.

Yes, every conference has been destabilized after La Tex joined. They are a problem.

I don’t like Tech, but can someone explain why they are a problem?

I don't like Tech either but mainly because of their fighting our name. As a rivalry, we don't have a better one. I went to USL during the
Bo Lamar - Mike Green basketball era. Our rivalry was unsurpassed and some of the best basketball I have ever attended in a packed Blackham. We need to rekindle that. We don't really want ULM to be our chief rival. Losing to them in the way we did is our fault not theirs. We need a major rival and this it. I am OK moving to another conference with them or remaining in the SBC with them if that is our fate.

Nevada mirrors our situation. In Nevada, Nevada at Reno goes by Nevada athletically. Nevada Las Vegas goes by UNLV. Their conference recognizes Nevada Reno as Nevada athletically but academically they are Nevada Reno or UNR. When they play UNLV, UNLV calls them Nevada Reno/UNR not Nevada.

La Tex has a long history of joining stable athletic conferences that become unstable and weaken during their membership. You have to conclude they are the problem.

Well, we are in bed with them now.

As was mentioned on a few occasions, we have T Joe and Maggard to thank for that brain dead decision. Screwing UL on their way out the door.

I’m pretty sure we were forced to take them with the financial shenanigans T-Joe pulled.
