There were a lot of reasons the UL Ragin' Cajuns were able to rebound from a disappointing road loss to Louisiana Tech with such an encouraging 33-6 victory over reigning Sun Belt West champion Troy on Saturday.
On Monday, coach Michael Desormeaux didn't want to leave out the most behind-the-scenes reason of all — his coaching staff.
There was a lot of negativity and complaining about the program after the 32-31 loss in Ruston. Desormeaux saw his coaches keep the players' confidence level up despite the gut-punch ending to that game.

I was thinking the same thing.
I know we don’t have the money to “Buy the best players”, but we may make up for that a little by having a coach that really coaches and teaches. That’s how David can beat Goliath. I think Young Coach Des is developing into older, experienced Coach Des.Comment

I think some people are too impressed with words. Have you seen our guys try to catch? It's not pretty. I believe in action, and results on the field. We don't see this in our passing game at all. Our passing game stinks. Words mean nothing. One thing to say something, but to acquire the right players and actually get them to perform in the game is what is needed.Comment
