    Tailgating spots

I'm looking to get a spot for South Al, and all that's available is in the corner by Congress and Bertrand.
Every week I walk down Reinhart and see 50 empty tailgating spots.
    What gives?
I'm not spending $100 to be .5 miles from another human.
I know that there are tailgating spots available near Reinhart.
I can't stand the bull___ that surrounds this ____ing place

Also, take a look at basketball season tickets that are available.
Nothing on the aisles with maybe 1k tickets in total.
You telling me that's all that is available? I'd bet my life that less than 3k season tickets are sold, so why are you holding back available tickets?

I know athletic department is extremely short staffed, but it would be a great opportunity to allow season TG spot owners to sell their spots on a per game basis on a site like Seat Geek or if they can do it on Paciolan. Work SG or Paciolan to make a small bit of change via fees on the transaction. Win/win

When we first started paying tailgating spots, the cost was $30. Back when Nelon Stokley was our Coach.
The spots were smaller in size. The demand for tailgating spots started in the Hudspeth coaching era. They started out at $100 then increased to $300 per spot. At one time all the spots were filled even along Bertand Drive.

No matter where these decision makers got their degree I'm sure at some point they sat in and or were graded in a course that touched on the topic of NOT pricing yourself out of the market.

Time to go back to school.

Those spots come with hang tags for the vehicles. You can buy them from any of the individual spots but with hang tags it isn't feasible for the University to be a middleman.

                        Started trending with Bustle.

                        Crescendo with Hudspeth.

just because there isn't a tent on it doesn't mean that it isn't rented.

Correct. With the way spots are sold for the season only that happens….

this past Friday people on hand to watch the baseball scrimmage were parked in some of the paid for tailgating spots well after setup time began.

I’m not suggesting the current model is working - bc it’s not. However, the system is the system for now. None of us will change that this season.

With that said, if you get a spot for $100 on Rhinehart for South Alabama, how do you suggest the admin navigate the hurt feelings of folks who paid $5k for the season?
