I agree everything posted. I am one of the old fans. Started UL in 1965. This was a typical LaTech
football game. Made many trips to Ruston. Been a season ticket holder every year. This may end my ticket purchases.

      Time for baseball season.

Giving your money to Deggs and his staff is a much better bang for your buck.

yeahhh this year for giving Tuesday I think I’ll just give to baseball, softball and maybe basketball. Like i said, Dr K witnessed the entire thing and he’s been a huge supporter of athletics and even became friends with a lot of fans so hopefully he’ll do something but I’m not going to hold my breath

Win out is the only thing that can somehow soften that loss to Tech when clearly we should have won that game and were in full control. Knowing Des though I just don't see it happening. Remember, He has not even won a bowl game since being here either.

Just looked up his contract and it ends in 2029. By that time “toothpick” will have more people in the stands than this clown.

You really can’t blame Des for that loss. I mean the guy was hired and he had never called a single play at the college level or managed a football game at that level either. He was a TE coach for Christ sakes. You have to put that loss on the people who put him in that position. He was set up to fail.

No two ways about it, this was a stinker of a loss. Cuts deep. If anyone was still on the fence of CMD's in-game coaching approach this loss and how we gave it away to a hated rival by coaching scared in 4th Qtr. illustrates his coaching style. We got the horses to win, need a new jockey next season.

The only way replacing Des even becomes a serious consideration is if we lose out. I’m betting the same thing will happen this year as happened last year. We’ll finish 6-7 after losing to a crap team in a crap bowl.

The sad thing is that the difference between our ceiling and our floor in regular season wins playing in this league is basically between 6 & 8 going into bowl season. The likelihood of our record being poor enough to get Des fired is relatively low.

That and our budget woes makes it a perfect storm for prolonged mediocrity.

That may be true, but I do blame him for being so hard headed to not give up the play calling. If he indeed was set up to fail as you say, then he should have not had such a big ego and delegated responsibilities.

We have the players to possibly go 10-2 or 11-1 pre season but this coach has made us again a 6-7 team. I think we finish 5-7 and he still calls plays. Look at Boise, NDSU, Memphis, JMU they have the right people calling plays and o e of them will be in the playoffs. We should drop down to FCS and maybe there Dez could go 7-6 🙄

Crumble as our Coach would have won game. He took what our defense gave him. Dez kept trying to force what he’d like to do even when it was clearly not working. Third quarter was beautiful and then he went back to forcing his will in fourth quarter. Mot really a lot of fun watching our team the last three games.

Bull___. He was approached and asked to give up play calling after last season and said no.

The only way this loss is meaningful is if it’s the beginning of the end for Coach Des at UL. He knew how big this game was. He will not learn or give up play calling. We’ve had enough sample size of his stubbornness and mediocrity. Louisiana is Our State. Our Team, but is this our Coach?

Again, we sometimes have unfair expectations of our program. We do NOT have the players to be a 10 win team even though I've heard this for several years. We do not have the type of players on defense to consistently stop good teams. We are not physical enough up front, we have no real pass rushers and we are tiny in the secondary. On offense we do not have the type of talent on the O-Line to compete with even better than average teams. You saw what Tech did to our line last night? They were beating our tackles consistently with 3 man rushes which allowed more men to get into the passing lanes and make it difficult. We had the type of talent to be an 11 win team in 2021 but not in 2026
