A couple of things tonight

1. The 2 guys Coastal threw tonight were about as good a combo as any I’ve seen all year. And I watch a TON of college baseball games. Flukey will be a 1st round pick in June, but the Horn kid with that wicked sink and filthy slider repertoire was just NASTY.
2. Blaze Rodriguez, defensively, could play shortstop in Major League Baseball right now. He’s as good a college defensive SS as I’ve ever seen. And I’ve been closely following for nearly 40 years.

Find a way to win the series tomorrow and this will be a great weekend.

Updated standings. I’m trying to figure out how the tiebreakers would play out in the different scenarios, especially if we, Texas State, and ODU finish tied.

Absolutely, Rodriguez will play SS in MLB. This has been some excellent baseball in these two so far. Can not wait for today. Coastal can't throw better than what we saw last night.

Agree on Rodriguez’s defensive abilities, but is his bat going to be a liability getting to the bigs?

As far as Coastal pitching goes, I certainly hope not.
