You didn't watch the game either.

Defense DID break down, very similar to USC (100% agree) Hell it might happen again and cost us winning out.

Cajuns may win every single game forward.Actually, some ridiculous BS like giving up nearly as much PA as the first 75% of the game may change that.

Or, if we decide to throw to grass instead of Cajuns, plan may fail. Cajun receivers are catching about 1000% better than 2025.

UL didn't encounter a 3rd down until 9 and a half minutes into the 3rd qtr. When you land first downs on 2nd downs, I'd blame that s-i+ on playcallin (like every single person on this site).

This is my recommendation to all, relating to previous comments: Don't go to The Swamp this wknd, never contribute a dollar to Cajuns Football for rest of year, bet against every spread favoring Louisiana, there won't be a soul at Cajun Field vs. Troy, we will gain maybe 1 or 2 more W(s), let's forfeit the remainder of the season and move up Baseball season to this wknd.

Yea it blows losing to that absolute ___ up north. I have a hate for Tech I can't word.

Desormeaux needs to quit "Quit" calling plays. It wouldn't prevent him from making suggestions or even occasionally overriding.

It might give him time to notice a weakness or strength on defense and yes even on offense and actually work better with his coordinators.

The offense did absolutely nothing in the 4th quarter. Yet blame the defense.

We get it, you’ll defend Desormeaux until HE gets himself fired, because HE is too stubborn to give up the play calling.

This is exactly what I can't figure out. I'n NOT defending Dez! Everyone on here blames offense 100% when it's only one phase. Playcallin' the O is ONE phase of the Game.

You can not attribute everything to play calling, its just dumb.

Plenty of blame to go around. We failed miserably in all phases of the game the last 8 minutes to go. However, 2 straight 3-and-outs on offense did the defense no favors.

I agree with Swamp. Lots of ups and downs during a game. And could be the right play call with poor execution....with one exception, when UL could ice the game with 2 first downs, and he calls 3 running plays, that were the same plays he had called earlier..

We don’t have the depth on defense to expect them to win us games when the offense Desormeaux’s.

Which is exactly what we witnessed Saturday. Bates is a severe drop off from Jacob’s. It showed all game.

We needed 2 first downs to win the game. Instead we played not to lose. We should have tried to run the score up on those turds.

We had no chance. We are not even going to win the west in the SBC much less the SBC championship. We would have had to win out after the USC loss and there's no way we're going undefeated in SBC play with this coach and team.

It doesn't matter. They are in the conference and they simply own us. That's really why most fans don't want them in but again, they're not going anywhere.

Giving the ball back to them with nearly 7 minutes allowed them to run the football which they were very successful in doing, especially on the interior with their bigger back. This defense is smaller and they simply wore down towards the end of the game trying to stop that running game. The inability to really generate an effective pass rush with our DL also put our secondary in a bad spot.

Yes, he even tried the little end around on 3rd down with Chaney that had worked before with the exception that the situation was completely different as they had 9 men in the box this time.

If you scared say you scared. With 7 minutes to go you have to work really hard on the wrong things to give up 14 and not at least get a field goal.

We should have finished better, no question. But this still pisses me off, especially since Tech keeps using the video of this play as the moment that changed the game.

Every time I watch it, I see TWO blatant holds on that fourth-down play that went uncalled.

And these weren't your typical "you could call holding on every play" situations. Both defenders had beaten their blockers, and both holds CLEARLY impacted the outcome of the play.

There were several other questionable no-calls throughout the game, but on a critical fourth down, with two defenders getting held after beating their blocks? Either one should have been an easy flag.

I'm not saying we didn't have opportunities to win the game ourselves, because we absolutely did. But it's frustrating watching a play celebrated as the turning point when two obvious penalties helped make it happen.
