Actually a good read when you get a chance

Agree, and pretty well sums it up. I’m not exactly thrilled about the prospect of their predicted 7-5 season, but it would be an improvement over last year. Hoping Lunch makes a big leap this year. To me, that and improved line play on both sides of the ball will be key.

6-7 just like all the years before.

I think this article summed it up pretty well although I disagree with them on their highlighting the Howard running back being a key to the running game. This team is an interior running team and we've done better with guys who can run with some power and size. If this team is going to set the tone on the ground, Blanco is about the only guy we have that fits the mold of previous teams. He's going to have to be a workhorse. But, the article is right in the sense we just lack playmakers. Sure, Sampson is good but you have to have a QB that can consistently get the ball to him and others. I don't see much outside of a .500 season again, particularly from this offense and the defense needs to find a pass rush and play the interior run better. We'll be OK but I don't see how we do much better than .500.

Until proven otherwise we will either be 6-7 or another lucky 10-4!

I hope Lunch’s passing has improved along with our receivers The opposition knows Lunch will run and will be prepared for that; so we will have to be better at passing so they won’t stack the box and shut us down.

I would be estatic to get a "Lucky 10-4" but fully expect - as a realist - to be 6-7

I called it with baseball this year, I am calling it with football. 9-3 Regular season.

I’m with RaginDave! 9-3. I think other teams in the SBC have been decimated more than we have. We’ve all been plucked, but our chicken still has a lot of feathers.

He averaged about 170 yards per games as the starter last year. I'd say he needs to average around 225 or more ypg with better efficiency, especially in the redzone. We need to utilize Jensen more this year for his matchup advantages. Whether they do this is an entirely different issue.

I would love for you to be right but I just don't see how this can occur. The USC game is a definite loss. I just don't see where you spread out only a couple of other losses across the schedule.

Unnecessary adjustments after a loss usually prevents teams from getting on tract.
