    What's that Smell?

A strong odor spread across parts of Lafayette and Lafayette Parish from Thursday night into early Friday morning, prompting residents to question its source.

The smell was reported in western portions of Lafayette, including areas north and south of the city.

My guess is the Pogy Plant on the way to Intracoastal City. (when cooking or hours after)

I have seen the odor skip many miles and drop down to the ground again.

Like you couldn't smell it in Mouton Cove (a few miles away) or Perry but you could smell it in Abbeville or New Iberia at other times.

I would not be shocked if the wind drift patterns could make it drop down on a portion of Lafayette.
