In his first two seasons of high school at Carver High in New Orleans, Deion Ware liked basketball, but wasn't overly serious about the game.
"I always kind of liked basketball, but didn't take the game too seriously in my ninth and 10th grade years," said Ware, who signed with UL from South Plains College in Levelland, Texas. "The coach at Carver would try to get him to play.
